Tyler had his 9 month check up at the doctor last week. Drum roll please....weight: 21 lbs 1oz,
Length 27 1/2 inches and head circumference 17 3/4. Unfortunately, we were back at the doctor this week due to the usual congestion, snotty nose and surprise, another ear infection! He seems to be getting them once a month so I see tubes in our future.
This week Tyler began to show a definite interest in more solid food so we have stepped up to "small bites". Collin had some sliced apples and Tyler grabbed one off his plate and started eating it. I can take a hint!
The pediatrician also advised us to start trying a sippy cup so we did. I can't say that he quite gets it but he has fun playing with it!!
He still isn't walking but he is getting more steady on his feet everyday.
This week we played with the "music" toys quite a bit. He enjoys shaking the maracas, the jingle bells and water bottles I have filled with different things like, rice, dried beans and lentils. I think the boy might have some rhythm!! I think we will sign him up for a baby music class soon. Collin enjoyed it when he was little and it is good "alone" time. We recently started playing relaxing music in his room at night and he seems to really like it.
I can see two more teeth popping through on the top so that probably explains why Tyler has been biting EVERYTHING lately, including me! He will bite anything he can get in his mouth and it HURTS! You have to be very careful around him, those teeth are dangerous even though he only has 4!!
